The description builder assembles the target ticket description from several source fields, so the synced ticket carries the context your team needs.
Use it when a single mapped field isn't enough for the target description and you want to pull together several fields. In the app it appears as Description field composition, reached from a tab on the Field mappings page.
How it works
You choose the source fields to include and set their order. When a ticket syncs, Support Fusion writes each field into the target description as Field name: value, in the order you set, then appends the ticket's original description below a separator. So the built description adds your chosen fields on top of, rather than instead of, the original text.
Building the composition
Add a source field, then use the up and down controls to order the fields and remove any you don't want. A live preview shows how the composed description will read, ending with the original description placeholder. Save to apply it to the relationship.
Editing and removing
Change the included fields or their order at any time and save again. Changes apply to descriptions written on the next sync and don't rewrite descriptions already synced. Remove the composition to go back to syncing the description as a plain field mapping.
